Terms & Conditions

1. Participation

Participation in our yoga teacher training programmes is open to anyone who practises yoga regularly.

Attendance at all training sessions, including practical yoga classes, meditation, and a short period of daily assistance (Karma Yoga) to help maintain the cleanliness of the yoga shala, is mandatory and a prerequisite for receiving the final certificate.

Before participating in any yoga teacher training or continuing education programme, each participant must complete a registration form confirming that there are no known health concerns that would prevent them from taking part.

Participants experiencing acute physical or mental health conditions are advised to consult their treating physician before attending to determine whether practising yoga is appropriate at that time.

Participation in all events and training programmes organised by Simone Bartmann is at the participant's own responsibility.

2. Registration & Deposit

Registrations are generally accepted from individuals aged 18 or over. Minors may only register through their parents or legal guardians.

All registrations are binding.

Registration for any Simone Bartmann training programme or event becomes binding once the registration form has been submitted and accepted by Simone Bartmann.

Upon registration, a deposit of 50% of the respective programme fee, or the amount specified on the invoice, is required.

The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the programme begins.

All transaction fees are the responsibility of the participant.

Places in training programmes are allocated on a first-paid, first-served basis.

Unless otherwise agreed, all payments are due immediately.

3. Course Fees & Cancellation Policy

Current course fees are published on the Simone Bartmann website.

All prices are net prices. Our educational services are exempt from VAT pursuant to Section 4 No. 21 a) bb of the German VAT Act (UStG).

Course fees are payable by bank transfer in accordance with the payment terms stated above.

Cancellation Policy

The following cancellation conditions apply:

  • 180 to 30 days before the course starts: 50% of the total course fee will be retained as a cancellation charge.

  • From 30 days before the course starts: 100% of the total course fee will be charged as a cancellation fee.

Participants may nominate a suitable replacement participant to take their place. If accepted, the replacement participant may take over the booking without the original participant incurring cancellation fees.

All cancellations must be submitted in writing.

Right of Withdrawal

For bookings concluded remotely, such as online registrations, participants generally have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of booking without incurring cancellation fees, subject to applicable statutory exceptions.

To exercise this right, participants must submit a clear written withdrawal notice.

Travel & Cancellation Insurance

We recommend taking out suitable seminar or travel cancellation insurance to protect against financial losses resulting from unforeseen circumstances, such as illness or the need to interrupt a trip.

4. Course Cancellation by the Organiser

Simone Bartmann reserves the right to cancel a training programme if the minimum number of eight participants is not reached.

In such cases, all course fees already paid will be refunded in full.

If in-person training cannot take place as planned due to public health restrictions, pandemics, or similar circumstances, the programme may be postponed or participants may be offered alternative training dates in the following year.

Any further claims for compensation are excluded to the extent permitted by applicable law.

5. Liability

Participation in all yoga teacher training programmes, workshops, and continuing education courses is at the participant's own responsibility.

Simone Bartmann and the teaching team are not liable for injuries or damages arising from participation, except where liability is mandatory under applicable law.

Liability for damages caused by intent or gross negligence remains unaffected. The same applies to liability for injury to life, body, or health resulting from negligent breaches of duty.

Participants are responsible for their personal belongings. No liability is accepted for lost, stolen, or damaged valuables, clothing, or other personal items, except where required by law.

6. Photography, Audio & Video Recordings

Photographs, audio recordings, and videos may be taken during yoga teacher training programmes, workshops, and other events organised by Simone Bartmann.

Such recordings may be used for Simone Bartmann's own promotional and marketing purposes, subject to applicable data protection and personal rights laws.

Where legally required, participants' consent will be obtained before identifiable recordings are published or used for promotional purposes.

Recordings will not be shared with third parties for their independent marketing purposes.

7. Data Protection

Personal data provided during registration and participation will be processed for the purpose of organising, administering, and delivering the respective training programmes and events.

The processing of personal data is governed by applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Further information about the collection, processing, storage, and disclosure of personal data can be found in the Privacy Policy on the Simone Bartmann website.

8. Validity of These Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions form part of the contractual agreement between the participant and Simone Bartmann when booking a training programme, workshop, or other service.

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.

Mandatory statutory rights of participants remain unaffected.
